If you don't have a church, or are seeking a friendly, caring, and active group of people, we warmly invite you to visit us.

Ours is a dynamic congregation, with a wide variety of educational classes and activities, a strong music program, uplifting worship services, a Parish Nursing Program and diverse fellowship opportunities for all ages.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Community Presbyterian Church in Chester, NJ is to spiritually nurture all – whether it be through worshipping together in the pews of our restored historic church, cooking and serving food at the local Soup Kitchen, traveling with our youth to Appalachia to rebuild homes, or offering a friendly smile with a scoop of ice cream to the many visitors we greet during our annual summer Peach Festival.

As a church, we embrace the spirit of God by hearing, sharing and enacting the scripture lessons in the Bible.

●       Our doors are open to our community every week for service meetings, every Sunday for worship & church school and very often for special events, such as our Easter sunrise service held on an east facing hill on a local farm.

●        Our hearts are open every day to care for one another and for those we encounter in our daily interactions.

The Holy Spirit is at work within us – in our Christian Education program, led by our Director of Family Ministries in conjunction with enthusiastic volunteer teachers who are excited to share their faith, in the vibrant music program that is woven into worship and in the many special events in the life of the church.

We are proud to be a part of Community Presbyterian Church and strive everyday to live up to our name.
